A few days before Raksha Bandhan (Friday, 28 August 2026) we launched Cinemistry with one thing: a personalized Rakhi video with your sibling's name rendered inside the video itself — on screen, in the animation — not typed into a caption underneath. It was an early launch, on purpose: we wanted to see whether people actually want one-click personalized AI videos before building the rest.

The feature still works exactly as it did on Rakhi day. Pick brother or sister, type their name and yours — English or Hindi (हिंदी नाम भी चलेगा), so "Priya" and "प्रिया" both come out right — and about a minute later you get a link that unfurls with a preview in WhatsApp. Tap, send, done. Free, nothing to install.

What is a personalized Rakhi video with name?

Can I use a Hindi name?

Yes. Names can be in English or Hindi (Devanagari), including matras and conjuncts. Mixed scripts across the two names are fine too — for example an English recipient name and a Hindi sender name.

Once the video is ready, tap the WhatsApp button and pick the chat. What gets sent is a link to the greeting's own page, which shows a preview card with the video. You can also copy the link and paste it anywhere.

Is it free?

Can I make one for each of my siblings?

Yes — one video per sibling, each with their own name. There is a fair-use limit of 10 videos per account per day, which is plenty for a family.

Which characters can a name contain?

Letters (English or Hindi), spaces, and the characters . ' - for names like "D'Souza" or "Anne-Marie". Digits and symbols aren't allowed, and each name can be up to 30 characters.

Does my brother or sister need an account to watch it?

No. Anyone with the link can watch the video in their browser. Only the person making the video signs in.

Does the link expire?

No. The share page stays up so the greeting keeps working after Rakhi. If you ever want one taken down, email us and we'll remove it.
